A marvelous and inspiring painting who make me remember Hollywood films like Carol Reed's AGONY AND ECSTASY.Joseph - Nicolas Robert- Fleury ( France 1797-1890) was a french painter who was a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts , a Professor ( 1855) ,and , in 1863 ,Director of the Ècole des Beaux-Arts.The following year he went to Rome as Director of the French Academy in that city.
